Founder, Wuertz Machine Works
Travis Wuertz hails from Coolidge, Arizona where he works out of his family farms shop. He learned to make knives at the age of thirteen after he and his father attended their first knife show together. After that, noticing his son’s interest in knives, his father Marvin setup lessons from the western knifemaker Tim Hancock who resides in nearby Scottsdale for his birthday. Since then, Travis has been forging and grinding knives and taken an interest in anything mechanical.
Travis attended the University of Arizona where he received his bachelors in Mechanical Engineering and is currently working on his masters in Agricultural Engineering. Travis has always had a passion for engineering and has turned that passion into hardwork producing some of the most unique prototypes in all facets of industry.
